“…Valeria and Stas Pyeha sing in town, “Jesus Christ Superstar” is performed by a company from Petersburg and lights up the dance performance in retro style Behind the Closed Door staged by the young choreographer Ivan Estegneev. Don’t miss it! Kostroma is worth is and the trip there should be a requirement for those who like beautiful style.”

Dancing on the edge
“… On the background of white footlights three elegant figures in black create clear, almost graphical pattern… But in one moment, following the power of music, in a quick impulse it falls apart, the figures become one, almost disappear being engulfed in blackness, and then appear again in broken movements of bare arms …
The performance Behind the Closed Door presented by the School and Company Dialogue Dance on the stage of Drama Theater was a true discovery in the dance world of Kostroma. Laconic stage design, exciting tango music, costumes of the 30s, everything black and white. The characters who happen to be behind the closed door of life, who try to come back to themselves can be understood without words in dance and are very expressive. In the course of performance they shock the audience, bringing sympathy, laughter, adoration. Dance of bodies on the edge of style, aesthetics and meaning.”
