It’s rather remarkable that the music your brother once used to listen to or the music that sounded in places you used to visit eventually becomes a part of you. Your personal reality is being perceived through someone else. While creating the performance we searched for a chance to travel to the world of the irrational, emerging ourselves into movement and images that connect our own memories, fears, desires and fantasies. Audacity and obsession is what I think about, remembering Depeche Mode songs. They are always on the edge, on the verge of unknown. A game with metaphysics of electricity. A modular altar at a suburban church.
There are two different ways in my study of DM songs. First one is to stop the goer and see the song as a painting which story develops only in one’s imagination. The second one is to follow the sensation while lacking the music at hand: you can remember the breath of the song and keep wondering where it came from. Richardas Norvilla
